Enjoy a Saturday evening of Schubert with one of the most acclaimed ensembles of its generation, The Amernet String Quartet. The group will play the String Quartet in G Major, Opus 161, D. 887 and Cello Quintet in C Major, Opus 163, D. 956. Renowned cellist Yehuda Hanani will join Amernet for this special Schubert evening and concert-goers are invited to attend a free post-concert discussion: The String Quartets of Schubert.  Praised for its intelligence and ravishing sound, The Amernet String Quartet has been a major force on the chamber music scene since its inception in 1991. They regularly travel and perform all over the world, and currently serve as Ensemble-in-Residence at Florida International University.

Celebrated pianist Melvin Chen will join the group as guest artist. The Colorado String Quartet was the first all-women quartet to achieve international stature and is the
first female quartet in history to perform the complete Beethoven Quartet cycle in Europe and North America. With a career spanning three decades, The Colorado String Quartet is committed to bringing music to audiences off all ages; the ensemble is currently Artistic Director of the Soundfest Chamber Music Festival and Quartet Institute on Cape Cod.
