Dear Prospective Intern:

Resumes and cover letters are currently being accepted for our Fall/Winter, Winter/Spring and Summer internship programs. Our program is an excellent opportunity for all serious students interested in theatre, show business public relations and journalism and the business of entertainment in New York City. IMPORTANT: Along with resume and cover letter, please compose a short note on how your previous theatre or performing arts experiences would make you a qualified candidate for this opportunity.

By working closely with professional publicists, our interns are directly involved with all aspects of publicity and promotion of various Broadway and Off-Broadway shows and other entertainment projects. Geared to each student's appropriate level, this program enables serious-minded undergraduate and graduate students, recent graduates or anyone interested in pursuing a career in theatre or publicity to gain first-hand experience in dealing with the press, compiling press kits, coordinating performers' schedules, attending photo shoots, arranging television and radio interviews, writing program materials, and just about everything else!

Press agents will guide and advise the interns throughout the program and will provide the intern advisor with detailed evaluation of the student's performance at the end of the internship.

In addition, interns are invited and encouraged to attend performances of shows produced by our clients. In addition to Broadway and off-Broadway productions, Cromarty & Co. has also represented many of the premiere dance companies from around the globe, including "The Bolshoi Ballet," "The Kirov Ballet," and "The American Ballroom Theatre."

Please bear in mind that general office skills (including typing, phone skills, computer skills and extreme organization) are essential. Theatrical office hours are 10 AM - 6 PM and time periods for internships are flexible -- part time positions are available. Cromarty & Co. will provide a small stipend ($5.50/lunch and $3.00/transportation per day).
